Proud team from The Orthodontic Centre look on as Madison skydives for charity.

Madison Haigh, Dental Nurse from The Orthodontic Centre chose the British Parachute School in Nottingham for her debut skydive. Mady carried out her brave skydive in the memory of Aimee Garnett, who would have celebrated her 19th birthday on 17th August 2010. Aimee died in November 2009 from inflammation of the heart, after flu like symptoms and Mady chose the CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) charity when raising her sponsorshipCRY was founded in 1995 to raise awareness of conditions that can lead to Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD); Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS,SADS)

Amanda Garnett, mum of Aimee said “This is a great way to celebrate Aimee’s life, I am sure she would have approved. The CRY charity has always been close to my heart for continually raising the awareness of screening to reduce young sudden deaths”.

In total Madison has raised over £500 for the CRY charity which amongst it’s patrons are Pixie Lott and Sir Steve Redgrave.

Madison has been generously sponsored by staff and patients at The Orthodontic Centre as well as family and friends. Anyone wishing to donate to the charity can pop into The Orthodontic Centre on 3 Chequer Road, Doncaster where a collection box has been place on the reception desk.
